Pitching a big bang ‘Release the Joy’ campaign across Kenya, Mozambique and Angola was no mean feat. Chocolate, a sweet taboo… required a very balanced go-to-market strategy by using human truths, breaking perception, getting buy in, using everyday situations and bringing out the joy in them, using sight, sound, colour and fun, we set out to Paint the Town PURPLE, create SWEET moments and ultimately get into the psyche and the lives of people at a time when everything around us is dismal, allowing them to let the joy that is within each one of us come out and be felt just by opening a bar of Cadburys Chocolate.
